What do we wear?

Whatever makes you feel your best! You do you, but make sure to check the weather and dress for the elements as this is an outdoor wedding on a grass lawn.

Can we bring our kids?

Please reach out to us if you have questions about kids attending. We are trying to keep the wedding reception adults-only as possible. Kids are welcome to join on Friday for the Welcome Party! If this effects your ability to attend, please reach out to Holly or Dainan.

How about our pets?

If you’re staying at Rockwater, there are a few accommodations on-site that are pet friendly. There is a $35 pet fee per pet, per night, pets must be on a leash and pets must be left in a crate if left unattended in the room. *No pets at the ceremony/reception.

What is the parking situation at the venue?

There is plenty of parking at the venue!

Is there a place to eat at the resort?

Yes. Rockwater has a great restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as a full bar. Menus are available to view here.

Any recommendations for places to eat & drink on the coast?

Definitely. Check out the full list under things to do.

Are there grocery stores nearby?

If you need any items before getting to Rockwater, there’s an IGA in Wilson Creek (before Davis Bay) between Gibsons and Sechelt (30 mins from venue). There’s also a rustic little general store in Halfmoon Bay that sells a limited selection of booze/snacks (8 mins from venue).

Do we need to bring in food for the weekend?

There are lots of food options nearby. The resort serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s a quick 15 minute drive to Sechelt. Check out the Things To Do tab for food recs. Cocktail hour and dinner will be provided on the day-of the wedding.

Are we allowed to bring in our own alcohol?

You can definitely bring alcohol into your rooms and is highly recommended! All rooms will have a mini fridge. But like any hotel, outside liquor in public areas is frowned upon unless purchased from the resort.

What’s the bar situation?

We will provide an open bar for as long as possible with beer, wine, and cocktails available and non-alcoholic options.
